Whither Codebitch? MacEdition has vanished like walking along a street and finding a house is gone. No blank space, just a house you once knew is not there, like it never was. I'm left with only a bookmark to prove the memory is not madness. Bad dream.

So... enough people build their own fine furniture that there is an industry supplying materials, tools, books, and magazines to them. But it's all wood. Where the heck are the people doing their own fiberglass furniture?
It's not the cost, or the space, or even the poisonous nature of the material. Wood shops are plenty expensive and hazardous. And folks build their own fiberglass boats.
While we're at it, how about those expensive Japanese bars by major architects? Essentially more space-sculpture than function. Wonderful things, and you'd expect there'd be enthusiasts who appreciate these enough to have fan sites, discussions, and present their own plans for this form. Can't find anything on the net.
I mean dang it, you can bake carbon fibre in your oven. That's how the first CF violins were made. The holes in the comprehensive obscurity of the net mystify me.
